The Blast top-end kit is a complete set for air-cooled Minarelli horizontal 50cc engines, suited to routine maintenance as well as an engine refresh. The headless version has everything needed to redo the lower part of the cylinder in one go.

When to replace it

Cylinder and piston work under constant thermal stress: the piston compresses the air-fuel mixture, combustion pushes toward the crankshaft and the rings seal the piston against the walls. As they wear, compression and performance drop, the engine smokes more and burns oil. Replacing the whole assembly restores output and smoothness.

Fitting tips

Replacing every wear part in one job keeps clearances and compression correct. While fitting, clean the mating surfaces well, use new gaskets and follow the tightening torques; if you lack experience, have a workshop do it.
