Okyami YTX14L-BS 12V 12Ah battery for motorcycles and scooters

The Okyami YTX14L-BS is a sealed maintenance-free 12V 12Ah battery for motorcycles and scooters, supplied with the acid to be added at first activation. It measures about 134x89x166 mm and replaces batteries of the same format.

Okyami is the choice for riders who want a complete battery at a very competitive price: the acid is in the box and nothing else is needed to activate it. Before ordering, always check the code printed on the battery you are replacing.

Compatibility

This battery is listed for the models below. Lists can vary by year and version, so always check the original code:

• Buell: XB 12X Ulysses, XB 12, XB9 SX, XB9
• Harley-Davidson: Sporster 04-

If your model is not listed, compare the code and dimensions of the original battery with those on this page.

Activation and fitting

• Take out the acid pack and remove the strip of caps from the battery
• Place the container on the battery's filler holes and press: the acid flows into every cell
• Leave it to rest for about an hour, then close it with the supplied cap strip, pressing it fully home
• Finish charging with a suitable charger and connect the positive first, then the negative

How to choose the right battery

Check three things on the original battery: the code, the dimensions and the position of the positive terminal. A battery of the same capacity but with reversed polarity does not connect properly to the vehicle's cables.
